Xinhua News Agency, China Mobile launch search engine.(www.panguso.com)(Brief article)

Feb. 25, 2011 (China Knowledge) - The Xinhua News Agency, a leading news agency and content provider, and China Mobile Ltd<0941>, the country's largest telecom operator, have jointly launched an Internet search engine, www.panguso.com, to provide a new kind of news search engine, the China Daily reported. Panguso, a joint venture of Xinhua and China Mobile with combination of both advantages, said it has designed a search services engine of news, websites, images, videos and audio data. It will also expand the search service to cell phones. China Mobile, the country's largest telecom operator, said its phone users increased 5.26 million to a total of 589 million in January this year. The net increase of mobile phone users last month was more than the 4.38 million the mobile operator recorded in December. Last month, the number of China Mobile's 3G users increased 1.93 million to 22.63 million, according to earlier report from China Knowledge.
