QLD:Yasi weakens to a tropical depression

Eds: Clarifies 2nd par so that Yasi was downgraded from a category one cyclone.

BRISBANE, Feb 4 AAP - Cyclone Yasi has weakened into a tropical depression.

The former category five cyclone was downgraded to a tropical depression from a category
one cyclone by the bureau of meteorology about 10.30pm (AEST) on Thursday as it travelled
west across Queensland, between Richmond and Mt Isa.
